products address all of the regulatory and performance parameters
to allow satellite owners, operators and network providers around
the globe to extend their existing fixed-site broadband services
to mobile satellite users. These satellite services provide high-speed
global communications via satellite totally independent of terrestrial
networks.
The MVS series antennas perform the following
functions for the user:
- Rapid deployment
- Single button automatic satellite and network
acquisition
- Aquires all Ku-band satellites – Worldwide
- Operate without special test equipment to
assist in satellite acquisition
- Operate without computers or peripheral equipment
- Operate without phone calls to the network
provider/operator
- Can be roof mount, rack mount and portable
case configured
TracStar has developed a wide range of automatic
acquisition products compatible with virtually any VSAT network
and many video uplink applications. These antennas automatically
locate and precisely align the azimuth, elevation and polarization
axes to the intended satellite.
The MVS Series of antennas is fully self-contained
as it operates totally independent of external test equipment, computers
or satellite modems. The antennas are designed for simplicity of
operation, reliability and precision pointing. Each antenna is capable
of being configured to acquire every Ku-band satellite, world-wide.
The following features are standard in each
antenna:
- High precision, high stiffness and extremely
low backlash drive transmission featuring the patented Roto-LokŪ
drive mechanism
- Built-in GPS and compass for navigating the
satellite arc
- Built-in satellite receiver for identification
and
peaking on the appropriate satellite
- Built-in azimuth level sensor which automatically
compensates for mis-level of the antenna base
up to 10 degrees
- Automatic polarization alignment to the satellite
- Safe and easy installation, no calibrations
required
- User interface for satellite selection/configuration,
antenna status and diagnostics
Additionally, the antennas are designed to accept
a wide range of block up-converters and LNBs and are easily configurable
for international satellite frequency parameters.
The antenna is compatible with all satellite modems. Serial communication
ports are available to provide GPS to the satellite modem as well
as a PC interface for remote monitoring and command and future software
enhancements.
